What you give us

When you fill in a form, we save what you type so we can follow up:

• Home service pros: business name, phone, email, and main service, plus the referral code of whoever invited you, if you joined through a referral link.
• Homeowners: name, mobile phone, email, ZIP code, and how many tasks and pros you're tracking.
• Pros who share a quote link: your business name, phone, email, logo, and payment link, and the quote itself (services, packages, and prices).
• Homeowners who accept a quote or ask for a neighbor deal: your name, phone, email, street address, ZIP code, and preferred date. We share these with that pro so they can do the job.

Neighbor offers and nearby alerts

When a pro schedules a job, they can offer the same day to neighbors at a discount. Neighbors see the street name, service, date, discount, and the pro's business name, never the customer's name or house number. If you gave Cared For Home your ZIP code and a phone number or email, we may text or email you about these offers in your ZIP, at most once a week.

What we record as you use the site

Pages you visit and actions you take, like picking a package, sending a quote (with its total and line items), opening or accepting a quote, marking a task done, or tapping a service you'd like added. We also store your browser type and a random ID saved in your browser, so we can tell visits from the same device apart without an account.

• Follow-up reminders: when a job is accepted or scheduled, we may schedule reminders (like the next visit on a plan) and store who they go to and what they say.
• Message logs: for each text or email we send or try to send, we keep the recipient, message, and result.
• Abuse protection: to stop spam and overload, we keep short-lived request counts tied to your IP address and device ID. We don't use them for anything else and delete them after about a day.

What stays on your device

Your prices, draft quotes, maintenance plan, and list of pros are saved in your browser, not on our servers. Clearing your browser's site data removes them. Quotes you share as a link are the exception: they're stored on our servers so your customer can open them.

How we use it

• To run and improve the sites, and decide which services and features to build next.
• To contact pros about support and new features.
• To send homeowners local deals and maintenance reminders, if they asked for them.

Texts and email

We only text or email you if you gave us your number or address. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. Message and data rates may apply.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We use service providers to host the sites and store data (Vercel and Neon) and to deliver texts and emails. If you accept a quote, ask for a neighbor deal, or ask to be connected with a pro, we share the details that pro needs to reach you. A pro's business details appear on the quotes and offers they share. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

We don't use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks. We use your browser's local storage to keep your data and the random device ID described above.

Children

These sites are for adults and aren't directed to children under 13.

Delete your info

This deletes the contact details, usage history, and shared quotes and neighbor offers this browser has sent us from Cared For Home, and turns off usage tracking here. It also removes your name, phone, email, and address from quotes a pro sent you (the pro keeps a record of the job without them), and deletes pending reminders and message logs sent to your phone or email. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. See also our terms of service.
